The fibres on this duster are coated with ceramic wax, which means instead of dragging dust across your paint, the duster actually lifts and traps the dust inside the fibres. There's barely any friction at all. We've had customers use this on freshly detailed cars, on matte finishes, even on black cars (which show every single mark) — and zero complaints about scratches.
The one thing we'll say: don't press down hard. Let the duster do its thing with a light, easy swipe. You don't need to apply pressure — that's the whole point.
Most of the time, you don't need to wash it at all. Just take it outside, give it a few good shakes, and the dust falls right out. That's it. Good as new.

If your car just got rained on or you just washed it, wait for it to dry completely first. For morning dew or light moisture, give it 10–15 minutes in the sun. Once the surface is dry, the duster works perfectly.
